2011 4th of July Camping with friends

This past 4th of July, we headed over towards Leavenworth to go camping with three other families. This has become a rather regular camping trip for us to take, but this is the first time we ventured out with Charlie in tow. Although we got lost on the way there, which made for a not so fun arrival for all but Charlie, we ended up having a great time. Of course, my camera was not out as often as I would have liked to have some really great photos of the trip to share. I missed most of the parents and the entire Squires family!

Here is a shot of Auggie and Rose enjoying a yummy camp time dessert!

That is Tom standing with Charlie at Icicle Creek. Sorry Tom for cutting off your head. Emmett and Charlie had tons of fun playing in the shallow water on this side of the log as well as throwing dozens of rocks into the creek.
This may have been one of the slowest walks we have been on, but we had fun. Charlie is really into holding Emmett's hands when they are together. Cute!
We can never escape baseball. Tom is teaching Charlie how to swing. It is made a bit tougher by the fact that Charlie likes to hold his mitt at the same time as he is holding the bat.
The Yodelings are the parents with the most experience with packing for kiddos. This was a favorite toy, a remote control car. Several squabbles were had over who got to drive. Here is Charlie taking his turn. If you look closely, you can see the car off on the right side.
