Buffalo Part Two

Grandma and Andy took us to Fort Niagra for a fun day of history...
...and storming the castle!! Uncle Andy taught Charlie about storming the castle, so we did lots of storming the castle that day. We also witnessed some reenacting, including shooting off a canon. This was a great boys outing.
This is a photo of Gabriel and I watching the canon being shot. We hung back to protect his little ears.
Charlie ate a cookie as big as his head on the way back from Fort Niagra. I enjoyed getting to ride next to him on this outing.
Gabriel loves to explore faces. Here he is exploring his cousin Nicole's face.
My parents were kind enough to supply us with Yankees outfits. We thought Grandpa Wagner would enjoy them cheering on his favorite team.
We went to watch Uncle Andy play in a Cleveland Fire Hall baseball game. Pretty fun times!!

To Buffalo we go

We recently braved the "friendly" skies so that we could visit our family out east. Our travels were much easier this go round for Charlie. Especially with his new DVD player. As you can see from this picture, he had quite the sweet set-up.

Aunt Carol may not love that she has made our blog, but we were sure excited that we were able to see her this visit. This isn't always the case, so it was extra special.

I have learned that it is difficult to get two squirrelly boys to pose for pictures with their grandparents. I think Gabriel is thinking that Grandpa is much more exciting than mom with the camera. Either way, this is Gabriel Raymond posing with his namesake, Grandpa Raymond.
Apparently this was as good as I got of the four of them. Charlie especially was not in the mood for pictures.
Charlie once again showed a small crush on his uncle Andy. It may have something to do with the fact that he keeps taking him to the Cleveland Hill Fire Hall. This time Charlie was given his own fire hat. Although it was hot that day and his head was completely sweaty, he kept that hat on while trying out all four big rigs and two smaller trucks!
Here uncle Andy is showing Charlie a camera that lets you look through walls for hot spots. If you are a three year-old boy, this is pretty awesome.
The big finale for the day was running through the hose. Charlie giggled and laughed the entire time that hose was on.

Play Time

Recently we acquired a play mat for Gabriel. He has been enjoying playing on this new toy.

Water time

A few weeks ago we actually had a day that felt like summer. We went over to the water park near the Burien library. Kristin brought Maddy, Ella and Reese over to run with Charlie. Here are some pictures from that fun outing.

Kaarin Graduates from law school

We took our first trip to Spokane for the Gonzaga Law School graduation. Kaarin graduated! The following are a few shots from the weekend.

First professional hair cut. Getting spiffy to visit Buffalo.
Charlie was very proud of his aunt. Apparently, we learned later, that he didn't like her robe. Thus, the sad face in the photo.
Gabriel and GG had a good time together chatting and flirting.
Four generations of Swanson/Praxel/Wagner's.
