Catch-Up Part 3

Tom and Charlie went to the zoo a few weeks ago for some male bonding time. This is a picture in front of the seals. From what I heard, they had lots of fun. They didn't get to see tons of animals because Charlie is now moving towards wanting to do everything on his own. So, walking between exhibits was the theme of the day for him. We are learning that one of his favorite sentences to say is "I do it." I guess this is what they mean by terrible twos. Independence is key!

We had our friend Mark spend the night with us this past month. Charlie really, really loves Mark. It took Mark a little while to warm up, but not to long after this picture, Charlie was on his lap.
Charlie was passed around during Mother's Day lunch. Here he is with Aunt Wendy and Uncle Don. They look pretty happy with him.

Catch-Up Part 2

Sadly, I didn't get a photo of Charlie with his eyes open for the blog. However, this is his play wall with the new addition of his kitchen. Charlie is excellent at making us tea, soup, eggs, noodles and more. Here he is cooking in his new apron.
Charlie is here playing in his sandbox, a gift from his parents. We haven't had too many sunny days yet, but when they are here, he is certainly in the sandbox. Thanks aunt Janet and Uncle Greg for the truck!
We met the Swanson clan for lunch on Mother's Day. Kelin and Kyle had lots of fun with Charlie while we were waiting for our food. Here are a few pictures of him laughing like crazy with these two.

Here is a shot of the kids side (and a few parents) at Charlie's party. We loved hosting a birthday party for Charlie at our home. He still is talking about his birthday party to this day.

Catch-up

It has been way too long since I have posted any photos on this blog. Below are some photos from Charlie's 2nd birthday party. Tom made a wonderful lunch with bbq pork, potatoes, asparagus, cole slaw and more. We also dug into a yummy cake and pie for dessert. Below is a picture of half the guests eating and being merry.

GG and Charlie serenaded us with lovely music. The guitar is one of the favorite toys around our house. Charlie does a wonderful job of playing and singing at the same time. E-I-E-I-O is the top choice.
We brought treats (fresh berries & chocolate chips) to Charlie's daycare for his birthday party. When we arrived he had this cute hat on all ready to celebrate.
Charlie and I sure enjoy heading to the Children's Museum for fun morning adventures. However, he is often so excited when we return, that getting in his high chair for lunch is a challenge. So, mommy gave in this day and we had a picnic on the kitchen floor. Amazingly, he ate almost all his food.
