First day of school
This fall, we decided to enroll Charlie in Creative Minds Montessori School. This is a big change from a home daycare setting. We are very happy that Charlie is able to attend the Montessori as it seems to be a place that he is flourishing. He loves the learning and after about four weeks of tears when being dropped off, he is now settled in to the big school. He has made many friends, learned about fire, pumpkins, spiders and more. It is so fun to see him loving learning. He has learned several letters and numbers. He often is pointing them out to us as we drive by signs. So far he is quite consistent with C, S, H, 1, 2, & 3. The following two pictures are him on his way out the door on the first day of school.
Matt gets married
This past September, we took a trip to Leavenworth to participate in my brother Matt's wedding. We enjoyed being part of Kirsten and Matt's special day. Charlie was the honorary ring bearer, so he was quite excited for this moment. During the rehearsal I had to carry him down the aisle. So, we were pleasantly surprised when he only needed my hand down the aisle on wedding day.
They got married out in this beautiful farm type place. Off the main wedding space we found horses and pigs. The kids really enjoyed petting the horses. Charlie was right in there with his big cousins. I have to say, he chose his lovely outfit that afternoon.Grandma Patsy and Grandpa Bud had fun entertaining Gabriel for a few minutes while waiting for the rehearsal to begin.
The very happy couple getting married!
The wedding was over and the partying has begun. This included chocolate covered strawberries. As you can see, that smile is one of pleasure eating a strawberry.
My cousin Ben had to leave his son Levi home. So, he happily stepped in to help out with Gabe for a little while. I think he is feeding him a nectarine in this picture.
Charlie continued the tradition of kids dancing at the reception. Although he did ask me to dance, I liked this picture of Ella dancing with Charlie for the blog.
The entire family stayed at one very large home. This was the view out the back porch. Not too bad! What a beautiful place to get married. All in all, a very successful, fun wedding.
