Charlie's Third Birthday Party

We had a rocking party at our home to celebrate Charlie's third birthday. We had a guitar theme for the day. Below is a picture of our dance party. We had a fun CD of kids dance music. Charlie held back, but did enjoy a few moments of dancing. Never ones to miss dancing, my two sisters joined in as well.
We decided to risk a piƱata for this party. Luckily, with a few rules, no one got hurt. We didn't quite make it through all the kids before it was broken. Auggie knocked the bottom half off with a huge whack. Charlie sure enjoyed his turn. What boy wouldn't enjoy hitting something with a big stick!
Once again, we got a cake with a guitar on it for the birthday boy. Tom was in charge of the cake. He did a darn good job. I think next year Charlie will be able to blow out his candles without a little assistance.
The birthday boy eating his chocolate cake!

Grandma and Grandpa Wagner sent Charlie a wheelbarrow. I have a feeling this will get lots of use this summer. It was a hit!
Gabriel enjoyed the party as well. He was passed around the whole time and enjoyed being social. Here he is flirting with his Grandpa Bud.

Children's Museum Outing for Third Birthday

For Charlie's third birthday, I was able to take the day off. So, off we went to a place we love - the Seattle Children's Museum.
Nonnie was a great construction site manager for Charlie. They had fun building. Boppa was home building a play set for Charlie, so he found this extra exciting as he got to build just like Boppa.
I thought Gabriel would sleep through the whole adventure. He had another idea. He woke up right when we got there and his eyes were huge the entire time. He has become quite social.
Nonnie found these little bugs for kiddos to ride on. Gabriel took a turn on the lady bug.
Charlie enjoyed putting on these wings. I too had wings. We flew around like bugs for about 10 minutes. I asked him to pose for this picture. That is his smile for the camera.
The first time I took Charlie to this museum, that apron pooled on the floor. Now, the apron doesn't even touch the floor!

Four Months

Here is a series of photos taken on Gabe's four month birthday. He has decided he really likes to sit up to look at the world. So, we found this little chair to assist him with viewing the world.

Spring Fair

A few weeks ago, we went to Puyallup to the Spring Fair. Charlie fell in love with a big toy that had tons of drumming pieces on it. I was able to take a short video of his banging. Enjoy.
Charlie enjoyed his first Elephant Ear with his parents. We felt a little bit better about this when we saw they had whole wheat ears. You can't quite see all the sugar on his face in this picture. Also, he wouldn't look at the camera because a one man band was standing by us during this time. That was much more fun than looking at mom for a picture.

We sure wished they had sheep to view at the fair. However, we couldn't locate any. Instead, we found tons of pygmy goats. Here are the two big boys looking at the goats.
This is how Gabriel went around the Fair. Sleeping in the sling. He is growing too big to comfortably sleep in the sling. I can't believe how big he is getting!
