Getaway & laughing poses

Tom and Charlie decided to pose for the camera this morning. Charlie often does this amazing laugh when I ask him to smile for the camera. It is a very exaggerated laugh. Luckily Tom matched his energy for this shot.
Last weekend we dropped Charlie off in Spokane and spent our first night away. Charlie had no trouble spending a night at Nonnie and Boppas' house without us. The following are some pictures from our weekend.
We were able to keep the guy in his seat while waiting for our lunch with some coloring and games on the iPhone.
We made a stop at a great shoe store. Charlie enjoyed trying on the shoes as much as I did. His shirt and pants are covered with steamed milk. He deliberately poured the milk on his clothing, so I felt OK letting him "wear" the milk for a little bit. As you can see, it didn't bother him at all!
Charlie could spend hours in the playhouse at my parents home. Here he is making some tea with added spices.
Maddy and Ella were able to come and play with Charlie over the course of the weekend. I'm not sure which of the three had the most fun.

Emmett came to play!!!

These two boys certainly love each other! Emmett and his mommy, Dana, came over to play at our house today. Much fun was had during their visit!

This is one of their happy hugs. We had a few not so gentle hugs towards the end of the visit, which ended with a few tears. It is so much fun to see them enjoy their time together!
A little coloring time.

Emmett enjoyed closing Charlie in the door. A little later after this the boys disappeared. It was a little too quiet, so Dana and I went to check on them. We found the garage door open with the boys with wet feet. They had walked out into the driveway. Yikes! Certainly very happy that one ended OK.

We asked Emmett if he would give Charlie a kiss. So, here he is leaning in for a smooch.

Play days with Grandma & Grandpa

Charlie had the blessing of staying home for two days with his grandparents. His daycare was closed for two days and we were lucky enough to have my dad and Patsy come over from Yakima to help us out. I know they did much more than reading, however that is what I captured in photos.

This is a little glimpse into the face Charlie is making these days when he wants something and we aren't complying with that desire. We are really working on Charlie using his words, so hopefully we can move past this pouting stage?!?! However, Grandma doesn't seem to mind!

These two bonded over tractors and trucks. Something must have been funny.

That thumb goes in the mouth when he is ready for bed. This is book time before bed in his new truck, bus and boat pjs, which he loves.
