Have we finally escaped??

No pictures this evening. Just a small update. After a little over ten days of stomach bugs and double ear infections we are finally seeing life return to normal. Our home has been filled with laundry, soy milk, severe diaper rash, medicine, doctor visits and lots and lots of diapers and wipes. Both Charlie and Tom were struck with a bad stomach bug on top of Charlie's ear infections.

Charlie got the brunt of the illnesses, but he was a trooper. Poor guy seemed to be in quite a bit of pain at times. Towards the end of last week he began to act fine, but the consistency of his bowels didn't allow him to go to daycare. So, he had some fun extra time with his parents.

Well, I don't wish this bug we just had on anyone else. So, stay well dear family and friends!

Book Reading

I have a couple videos with either Charlie reading a book or a book being read to him. He really gets into his book reading these days, so it is fitting to share some of these clips. We especially have wonderful moments in bed before each nights sleep and when we arise in the morning. We are blessed with a son who will lay in bed with us for 20 minutes or so reading books. We really appreciate this slow way of rising!

End of 2010 - Beginning of 2011

It is amazing to me that all of 2010 we enjoyed with Charlie Byron. What a joy he has brought to both of our lives this year. He is certainly a huge blessing in our lives. I have enjoyed sharing with family and friends far and wide, snapshots of our world. I look forward to what 2011 will bring for the Wagner clan and wish all of you a wonderful year ahead.

Over the New Year's weekend, we travelled up to Everett to spend New Year's Eve at Aunt Janet and Uncle Greg. Charlie absolutely loved their home. He missed the big party, as he slept right through 30 or so people ringing in the New Year right above him. However, before he went to bed, he and his cousin Levi hung out together and had fun getting to know each other a bit. Here is a picture of Greg with his grandson Levi and Charlie. Charlie wouldn't take that thumb out for the picture!

I built a fort for Charlie and Tom to play in. Charlie loved it. Especially when I gave him a spray bottle with H2O. We quickly learned he can spray us quite easily. This brought out huge laughs by all three of the Wagner clan. He really is one cute kid with a darling personality (I'm not biased).
The age old love affair that children have with wearing their parents shoes has hit our household...
Playing in the snow at Nonnie & Boppa's house in Spokane was a huge success this year. We even struggled with getting him back inside to warm up. Tom had big plans of building a snowman with Charlie. However, Charlie chose to play on his own and Tom built the snowman with Maddy. Please note the two different shoes. Seems I forgot to pack both boots.
